Treasure Hunting

My roommate Vanessa and I love going on thrifting adventures. We found the mother load of thrift stores hidden right down the street from us! We ended up with some amazing pieces! Thrifting is a great way to shop on a budget- plus you find the most unique stuff. We must have spent at least two hours digging through this place and we didn’t even make a dent. So go drive around your neighborhood- you can find some sweet stuff treasure hunting!

Miami Music Week

Quick little recap on my adventures throughout Miami Music Week! I spent the majority of my time with the Fools Gold crew and probably had one of the best times ever during MMW. The best advice I can give for any sort of music event like WMC/MMW is to RSVP to everything– but don’t worry about staying on schedule. Just go with the flow and enjoy whatever event you’re at instead of stressing about missing another event or worrying about how to get into it. You’re gonna have FOMO. Just accept you can’t be in more than one place at a time! This year I approached the intense music week with that mentality and had a blast. The highlights of the week were for sure seeing Atrak at Mansion, pool partying at The Standard until the early hours of the morning, being offered $176 to throw up on Jillionaire, and of course Red Bull Guest House breakfast (shout out to whoever made that bacon mac & cheese). I’m still (anxiously) awaiting more photos to surface from the week.

Wedding Season

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending one of my dear friends weddings! It was one of the most gorgeous weddings I have ever seen. It was held at The Moore Building in Miami. Being that the wedding was black tie, I wanted to make sure I dressed to impress so I went with the gorgeous black mermaid Badgley Mischka gown. But i’ll let you guys in on a little secret- I rented the runway! Instead of dropping a couple hundred on a dress I was only going to wear for a few hours, I decided to use this fabulous little website called Rent The Runway! They carry every designer you could ever think of and you can rent a dress for any event for a fraction of the price! You just put in when your event is and they make sure they have the dress you  requested available for those dates. You can choose between 4 or 8 day rentals and they send it directly to your front door (along with a second additional size- free of charge!) in this cute package. They even give you the packaging all stamped and ready for you to send back! It was a great experience and I will definitely be using them in the future!
