My roommate Vanessa and I love going on thrifting adventures. We found the mother load of thrift stores hidden right down the street from us! We ended up with some amazing pieces! Thrifting is a great way to shop on a budget- plus you find the most unique stuff. We must have spent at least two hours digging through this place and we didn’t even make a dent. So go drive around your neighborhood- you can find some sweet stuff treasure hunting!

In memory of my grandmothers passing, I’d like to dedicate this post to her. She was the epitome of class and sophistication and was the most influential person in my life, especially when it came to pursuing my career in fashion. She always reminded me “I dressed you in baby Dior ya know”. I was a very well dressed child thanks to her. She would cut out newspaper articles with anything pertaining to fashion to show me, and was up to date on the latest trends. She would tell me stories of being my age living in the East Village and staying out all night at underground jazz clubs, dressed head to toe in black of course. She marched to a beat of her own drum (figures where I get it from). Before her passing I showed her this blog and some new styling photos. She was beyond proud, so it’s only fitting I dedicate a post to her. Below are some of my favorite photos of her from the early 50’s and 60’s. I miss her dearly and I am so lucky to have had her as my grandmother.
